Real Madrid coach says Chelsea and Bayern deserve to be in final

MADRID, SPAIN (APRIL 25, 2012)(REUTERS) - After blaming fatigue and bad luck for Real Madrid's failure to reach the Champions League final on Wednesday (April 25), Jose Mourinho turned to the League final and said he was backing Chelsea, describing them as "heroes".

Chelsea won through to the final on Tuesday with 10 men, fighting back from two goals down to draw 2-2 on the night against Barcelona, and go through on aggregate.

"I just hope it is a good final. Of course I want the Blues to win but with a lot of respect for the Reds," Mourinho said, as he praised Chelsea's battling display with ten men at the Nou Camp.

And he ended with a dig at Pep Guardiola's side. "I think the Chelsea boys were heroes yesterday," he added. "I know some people think they are masters of the game, and criticise teams like Chelsea the same way they criticised Inter two years ago. But they know nothing. They know nothing about character, they know nothing about effort. They know nothing about a team with ten men resist physically, mentally, technically. They know nothing."

"Chelsea deserve to be there in the final and Bayern deserves too."
