The top two female tennis players in the world Serena Williams and Viktoria Azarenka share the limelight ahead of their exhibition match in Thailand.

HUA HIN, THAILAND (DECEMBER 27, 2013) (REUTERS) -  The world's top two female tennis players Serena Williams and Viktoria Azarenka joined a group of models in a fashion show called "Made in Thailand Night with Serena and Victoria," on Friday (December 27) in Bangkok.

United StatesSerena, ranked number one, and Belarusian Azarenko, second in the world, were both wearing high quality silk dresses by renowned Thai designer Unawan Tangkarawakun.

When the party is over, they will get down to their main business of playing tennis, facing each other in an exhibition match on Saturday (December 28).

Serena holds a 13-match winning record against Azarenka who defeated her 32 year-old opponent three times.

Serena's sister Venus is a fashion designer and Azarenka, 24, had already taken part in another fashion show when she lost to China's Li Na in the charity tournament in the 2012-13 season.

The Hua Hin Tennis Exhibition started four years ago and past winners include RussianMaria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters of Belgium.

Azarenka told spectators about her excitement of playing in the tournament for the third time.

"Yeah, I feel like it's becoming my new year's tradition that I spend in Thailand and I walk in the fashion show," she said.

Azarenka and Serena faced each four times in 2013. The two met in the final of QatarOpen, where Azarenka defeated Williams for the first time in 2009. They faced each other again at the Italian Open, where Williams prevailed.

They met for the third time during the Cincinnati Open won by Azarenka and the fourth and final match was at the U.S. Open won by Serena.

Instead of playing on a traditional tennis court, they will face each other on a beach court -- in the final event of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Beach Tennis Tour.
