Premier League Fulham Sack Manager Jol - Club

Dutchman Martin Jol has been sacked as manager of English Premier League club Fulham and is replaced by Rene Meulensteen.

LONDON, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM  (PATV) -  Fulham have sacked manager Martin Jol and put Rene Meulensteen in charge of the first team, the Premier League club said on Sunday (December 1).

Fulham are third from bottom of the standings following a run of five consecutive Premier Leaguedefeats and Jol's two-year spell at the club ended after they lost 3-0 at West Ham United on Saturday (November 30).

"Our poor form and results this season are undeniable, and Fulham supporters deserve better,"Fulham chairman Shahid Khan said in a statement.

Dutchman Jol joined Fulham in 2011 after spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Hamburg SV and AjaxAmsterdam.
