Dereck Chisora slaps Vitali Klitschko at weigh in before their WBC heavyweight title bout.
MUNICH, GERMANY. (FEBRUARY 17, 2012)(EPIX SPORTS-While engaged in the usual stare down after weighing in Friday (February 17), challenger Dereck Chisora slapped WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko.
Wearing a Union Jack handkerchief that partially hid his face, British fighter Chisora and Ukrainian champ Klitschko had to be pulled apart after Chisora hit him with an open right hand to the face.
Before the incident the 40-year-old Klitschko had weighed in at 243.5 pounds(110.4 kilograms) while the 28-year-old Chisora tipped the scales at 241 pounds(109.4 kg).
Klitschko has defended his title nine times since winning it in 2004 and owns a record of 43-2 with 40 knockouts while Chirosa comes in at 15-2 with 9 knockouts. Most experts have predicted an easy win for Klitschko Saturday night in Munich given his five inch (12.7 centimeter) height advantage and 6 inch (15.2 cm) reach advantage.
