Champions New Zealand End World Series With London Victory

The 2012/13 Sevens World Series champions New Zealand end the season in style by beating Australia 47-12 in the final to win the London Sevens.

 LONDON, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 12, 2013) (PROACTIVE TV) -  The 2012/13 Sevens World Series champions New Zealand finished the season in style as they thrashed Australia 47-12 to win the London Sevens at Twickenham on Sunday (May 12).

It was New Zealand's second title of the Series having also won the South AfricaSevens earlier in the season and they celebrated by lifting their 11th World Series title in 14 years.

New Zealand were in control by halftime having scored three tries to Australia's one. After halftime New Zealand scored a further four tries but Australia could only muster a consolation late on.

Hosts England finished third for the second successive tournament after beatingKenya 26-19.

New Zealand finished top of the overall standings with 173 points, 41 ahead ofSouth Africa, with Fiji a further 11 behind in third place.
